WSCF Prepares for International Peacebuilding Training in Alexandria, Egypt
The World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) is moving forward with preparations for the in-person phase of its International Project: Peace, Dialogue and Cooperation in the Middle East, to be held in Alexandria, Egypt, from October 10 to 13, 2025.
This project, launched earlier this year, aims to equip ecumenical students and youth from the Middle East with practical tools for interfaith dialogue, reconciliation, and grassroots peacebuilding. The initiative brings together +25 selected participants from the region (Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Iraq) and builds on the Federation’s global commitment to justice, peace, ecumenism, and youth leadership.

In the second half of 2023, WSCF-LAC embarked on a project to develop a gender policy to create safe spaces for the protection and well-being of its staff and members across the region. The policy aims to help WSCF become a federation that affirms diversity and rights for all people.
Scheduled for implementation in 2024, WSCF-LAC's Policy on Gender Justice and Inclusion for Buen Vivir (PGJI) reflects the region's identity and values its intercultural context and the challenges it presents. Building on the progress and work done by the Federation in the area of gender justice, the Gender Policy was developed with a commitment to intersectionality, utilising processes based on the concept and methodology of popular education.
UDPS Liturgies
The Universal Day of Prayer for Students (UDPS) is one of the longest established ecumenical events. The WSCF publishes ecumenical services of worship on a theme that relates to the Federation's theme of study for the year or responds to current events and issues of concern to the world's students.
