WSCF Christmas Appeal to Senior Friends and Invitation to WSCF Christmas Prayer for Peace
Dear Senior Friends,
As this Christmas season arrives, I find myself thinking about everything we have lived together these past years—our challenges, our commitments, the quiet strength of this community—and about how deeply your presence has meant to the Federation.
The world our students inhabit is marked by conflict, democratic fragility, ecological disruption, and rising fundamentalisms. Yet across every region, young people continue to choose what is profoundly countercultural:
Faith as liberation.
Solidarity as resistance.
Ecumenism as a path toward peace with justice.
And it is your support—your trust, your encouragement, your generosity—that allows this witness to continue, even in the most difficult places. As we prepare to enter 2026, this shared vocation feels more urgent than ever. To begin the year with the strength and clarity our movements need, we depend on a final gesture of support before 31 December 2025.

Christmas Global Prayer for Peace + Global Peace Campaign Launch “Reclaiming Otherness- Youth Building Peace with Justice”
Friday, 19 December — 12:00 GMT
This campaign was shaped by the experiences, wounds, and courage of students living through exclusion, violence, and social fragmentation. It is also nourished by spiritual and ethical traditions that have shaped WSCF across generations. It carries a simple conviction: Peace requires recognizing the Other again—seeing the face, the dignity, the story that conflict tries to erase.
Launching it at Christmas reminds us that God enters history through the vulnerable and unseen, calling us to rediscover encounter as a transformative act.
We look forward to your presence!
What we achieved in 2024–2025 — because of you
Much of what WSCF accomplished in the past two years was possible because you chose to stay close, to encourage, to believe. With your support, we:
- Responded quickly with advocacy and solidarity during moments of conflict and repression.
- Delivered inter-regional trainings strengthening youth leadership in peacebuilding, democracy, climate justice, human rights, and ecumenical formation.
- Improved global program coordination, ensuring coherence across regions.
- Reinforced planning, reporting, and donor accountability, deepening partner trust.
- Advance the Institutional Project, strengthening governance and coordination.
Prepared the global launch of Reclaiming Otherness, linking theology with the lived realities of exclusion and hope.
Why we need your support now — before 31 December
We need your help now to enter 2026 ready to act, not to wait.
Your support before the end of the year allows us to:
- Maintain strong regional and programmatic accompaniment through our staff team.
- Complete and implement the Institutional Project, ensuring coordination and accountability.
- Guarantee continuity in all program areas, providing stability from the first months of 2026.
- Implement Reclaiming Otherness, transforming vision into action.
- Respond rapidly to crises, offering presence and solidarity where it is most needed.
- Prepare the next General Assembly, grounding the future of WSCF in stability.
A contribution made now, during this Christmas season, has a direct and immediate impact.
It is what will allow the Federation to begin 2026 with clarity, capacity, and hope.
